It’s possible that you first came across Joaquin Corrales on the YouTube platform with one of his unique ads that he’s always running.
You’ve probably seen him wearing one of his masks in one of his recent July 2019 videos, and you’ll be asking yourself one of the following questions:
Did this kid just rob a bank?
Is he one of Joker’s henchman?
Does he have severe allergies?
But hey, he caught your attention didn’t he?
And the Lambo doesn’t exactly put most viewers to sleep either.
In these videos he goes into detail on how he actually made a ton of money with these simple cool looking masks and how you can accomplish the same thing with a product of your choice too.
He says you can utilize drop shipping in the same way that he has in order to start making over a thousand dollars or more $ every $ single $ day.
From there, he guides you to his eCom Masters course where you can learn everything that he knows on how to establish your own drop shipping business via a giant brain dump.
But is the course as rock solid as Lil’ Wayne’s diamond grill?
Or does it get “No Love” from it’s students… (btw: that’s a reference to a Lil Wayne song juuust in case you aren’t a fan…and/or live under a rock)
Dropshipping was a phase for me that I attacked in full-on berserker mode from 2017 to mid 2018. I won some, but I lost more at the dropship game, and that’s why I’ve stuck to the local lead gen model with Lebron James style dedication and consistency since 2014. It’s just more reliable and easily scalable than any of this roller coaster ride e-com stuff.
One powerful thing I learned tho…
When you are brand spankin’ new to the E-commerce space, having a mentor is a non-negotiable. That is, unless your spirit animal is a Texas Blind Salamander…
Cause you will feel completely BLIND if you go at this eCommerce thing alone!
When it comes to developing a course, theres a common trend that two heads present better than one …
Joaquin doesn’t just run this course by himself. It’s been a joint effort between him and Franklin Hatchett.
Hatchett actually runs his own eCommerce course called eCom Elites which has been extremely successful.
Oh good ol’ Franklin. Talk about being a prolific YouTuber! With over 160k followers, he has released at least 4 videos this week of July 17, 2019 alone!
Hatchett is one of the top 20 Shopify sellers and generates over $20k / day using some of the methods outlined in the course.
And what about Joaquin, the main face .. or maybe we should say… mask.. behind the eCom Masters course?
Well, he was a hustler from a young age, and sold over $5000 worth of gaming cards online before he was out of high-school!
He was an immigrant from Cuba and was raised by a lower-middle class family. He knew the go to school, get a job, retire lifestyle was just NOT him.
eCom Masters Course Summary
First things first, let me address a common question for ANY course. A lot of people wonder if these types of courses are a scam or something. I can assure you, this one is not.
These are some key takeaways you can expect from eCom Masters…
- Generate $1,500/day in new sales using a store that takes only an hour a week to maintain.
- Choose products that generate sales immediately.
- Proven store design template that can be used to sell a multitude of products.
- You can see the advertising account that they get 1000% ROI from.
- Access to a software and app free of charge.
- One-on-one coaching with an experienced mentor; this is the reason for the increased cost of the course.
In many ways this course is similar to Franklin’s eCom Elites course, but def not completely identical.
Kinda like an ugly twin…
If you’ve already been though eCom Elites then you’ll see some obvious similarities in several videos including the FB ads and Shopify modules of the course.
If you’ve never taken the eCom Elites course, then this is no big deal and it won’t mean anything to you. But if you have then you’re probably wondering why you should think about taking eCom Masters when you’ve already been through the more popular of the two.
That’s plenty fair so we’ll begin digging through some content that differentiate the two courses.
eCom Masters Course Content
I found a LOT of similarities in this course to the videos in eCom Elites, but there are also a lot of vids that just feature Joaquin.
When it comes to video content, there really is not much here that isn’t already in eCom Elites, so if you’ve already purchased it, you might experience some buyers remorse after pulling the trigger on eCom Masters.
Unless you love repetition just as much as whoever wrote that annoying ass “Baby Shark” song …
Here is everything that is included in the course:
- More than 130 video training lessons including how to set up your own Shopify store and Facebook ads training to drive traffic to your products.
- Hatchett’s eCom Turbo Theme
- 1-on-1 coaching with your own coach/mentor
- Several bonuses that Joaquin throws in
eCom Turbo Theme
This is not something that Joaquin designed, instead it comes from Franklin Hatchett.
This is a theme that can be used inside your Shopify store and there’s a ton of value packed in here alone.
The idea behind it is to increase your speed and your sales conversions.
With this comes the premium license which means you can put this in every Shopify store you own if you want to. You aren’t limited to the number of stores you can use it on.
So essentially, you can be like…
“Listen up my Shopify Stores! YOU get a theme, and YOU get a theme, and yes, YOU get a theme too!”
The cool thing is Joaquin even includes the training for this theme with the eCom Masters program so you won’t be left to figure it out on your own.
And the training is rather extensive. A simple step by step process to maximize your conversions.
Video Training Modules
130 video lessons in this course. That’s a TON of content.
And that’s not even including the 30 videos you get for the bonus content that we’ll discuss in a bit.
These videos walk you through the A to Z of creating your own Shopify store as well as the incredibly important task of driving paid traffic to your store.
In this course, that’s done with Facebook advertising. You’ll get plenty of training on how to do that.
And you’ll need it like a fish needs water… trust me.
Mark Z ain’t exactly got an easy platform to master.
He’s been too busy to bother with those concerns, while he cooks up his BBQ ribs .. that were likely bought, by the way.. with all the wasted ad spend from the poor souls who keep trying to get their campaigns to convert…
Again, this training is very similar to the material in eCom Elites from Franklin Hatchett which I guess is to be expected since they collaborated on this course.
Still it would be nice to see some fresher and more unique video content.
This one’s huuuge. Or.. yuge? Depending on who you are..
In my mind it’s one of the single best methods of teaching that can be included in any online business course.
And eCom Masters is no different. IMO it’s one of the greatest features of this course.
Honestly, the one on one coaching ALONE probably pays for the cost of the course.
One of the best bonuses you receive is the weekly Q&A that’s done inside the group. You have the opportunity to voice any questions or concerns you come across throughout the week and get them answered by the big guns.
It’s incredibly valuable to be able to interact with the people that have gone through the same trials and tribulations that you’re going through.
It’s just chock full of people that are grinding, bootstrapping, pulling their hair out on the daily…
And yeah, a lot of people crushing the living hell out of eCom too..
In addition, you have access to many training videos that are included for the software’s you’re given access to, the eCom Turbo Theme training and more.
Also, they’re always creating and implementing new strategies. Videos are recorded and uploaded for those continuously so you’ll always be up to date on what’s going on in the drop shipping world.
Course Cost – $1,750 (4 payments of $497)
My Final Thoughts
Joaquin’s course is loaded with a ton of content and it’s built for beginners and eCommerce veterans alike.
You’ll learn a lot about the drop shipping business and how to be successful if this is the route you decide to go.
If you’re a beginner and an aspiring eCommerce entrepreneur then you absolutely need to consider this. The one-on-one coaching is a huge plus.
I’m not really an eCommerce guy. I’ve had some success in the industry, but there are a couple things I’m not a fan of.
Yeah, my ad campaigns had some good days.
I was ahead by a few grand in my first couple of months.
However it just wasn’t feeling like the most solid venture in the world. Too many variables.
I had a pretty fly niche product for a while selling for $38!
I sourced that product for $13 bucks including the shipping!
That means I would make $25 profit, right?
My Facebook ad spend came out to around $15 per sale/conversion.
Doing the math on that meant I was making about $10 per sale. That’s still a 26% margin which the pros will tell you ain’t all that bad actually!
Standard is usually more around the 10-20% range of profit margin.
The most frustrating part was the ongoing battle to prevent my ads from dying off. You gotta constantly make adjustments and tweaks, and it’s like an anxiety fest watching over them to track everything.
I got to around $1-2k / month profit at my peak.
But two months of that, and my ad just quit. No more buyers for that niche product to be found… it’s called ad exhaustion, and the struggle is real people.
Let’s put it this way, if eCommerce was a weapon I wanted to go hunting with…to, ya know, bring home the bacon so to speak…
It would be like using a bow and arrow…
You need a LOT of muscle to draw the bow (aka ad spend). This fuels your shot. The more adspend you can spare, the further your arrow will fly.
Also, you need a HIGH level of skill for accuracy (targeting the right audiences, using the perfect combo of quality ad copy with your image). Without that, you will completely overshoot or undershoot.
People see SO many ads on a minute to minute basis, and if you don’t completely grip them with your ad, right away, you’ve lost them.
You can always re-target the people that showed interest, but it’s common for people to get annoyed when they keep seeing the same ad over and over.
And you could have the raddest copy and the baddest image in the world, but if you are targeting the wrong audience in the first place (maybe the wrong age group or too broad of an audience), then ALL that goes right out the window too.
So what about the ammo for your bow? If you wanna really make a dent in your wallet, you’ll need some kind of crazy poison dart frog concoction tipped arrow (and by that I mean a kick ass, out of this world product) that will bring down the BIG game.
Why is this?
Because in Dropshipping you’re dealing with people on social media that have very short attention spans.
They’ll only click on an ad for a product if there’s a massive level of intrigue or follows some big trend that allows the product you’re advertising to draw in impulsive purchases.
So, I’m not the biggest fan of paid traffic, especially on Facebook.
I think free traffic is a much better option for long-term success due to increased profit margins.
If we are comparing weapons here, free traffic is like scoring unlimited automatic ammo…
And, we are using actual bullets (more powerful since the customers are actively searching for our services…) instead of wimpy lil’ arrows (where we gotta try and target people who are on Facebook as they scroll their feeds, and may not be in a buying mood).
Also, sourcing products can be a huge hassle and it’s something I just don’t want to deal with.
You have to find legit places to order your products from, and there can be all kinds of issues with the suppliers, product quality, delivery time etc. that will come back to bite you in the ass.
I’d rather spend my life increasing my income rather than working so damn hard to maintain it.
How I Use Free Traffic To Make 6 Figures Online
Capitalizing on the massive power of free traffic is the ultimate way to go about building a business online these days.
And quite frankly, most businesses just don’t take advantage of it.
I’m not even referring to eCommerce. I’m talking about brick and mortar businesses, home service businesses, etc.
Many small business owners understand the importance of a web presence these days and don’t take advantage of it for various reasons.
That’s where I come in with my local lead gen business. I generate leads for small businesses by leveraging free search traffic.
How do I do it? Simple really.
I create digital assets (kinda like virtual real estate), rank it in search engines and then sell the leads I collect to a small business owners I’m working with.
Not only do I create a passive income stream but I have actually changed the lives of business owners in the process.
This business owner was so thankful, you gotta read his texts that got shared in the coaching group FB page:
No other feeling like it honestly.
Once these sites are ranked at the top of search engines my work is done. I spend my time creating more assets and continue collecting money from these business owners, month after month.
As an example, check out the limo site I built back in 2014. It still pays me $750 every month like clock work.
If you’d rather use free traffic to build your online business empire then feel free to check out our coaching program here.
It’s the same one I went through back in 2014 when I first got started in this business and it’s completely changed my life, and the lives of many others.
In fact, here are some posts from students from back in June 2019, celebrating success, and learning even more high level skills in Las Vegas at our annual Reload event:
Get that bacon!
