Enagic is a network marketing company that sells Kangen water filtration / alkaline ionizers devices that ranges anywhere from $1280 to $5980, that not only filters your water but makes it more alkaline, which is supposed to have beneficial on the body and some are even claiming disease reversing effects.
Enagic was founded in 1974 in Okinawa, Japan by Hironari Oshiro and Enagic USA started in 2004. Old company but its really been picking up in recent years.
As Enagic distributor, you will earn commission on selling these machines and earn bonuses for recruiting other distributors.
How legit is this product?
Should you join the business opportunity?
I’ll give you my unbiased opinion on what I like about the company versus some of the challenges I see with it.
In 2019, I think there’s much easier ways to make money for yourself than trying to sell expensive water filtration devices.
Check out this link for my #1 recommendation.
There’s 7 different Kangen machines, all of them except one can produce different types of Kangen alkaline water.
Here they are(from lowest to highest):
- The Sun U.S.- $1,280
- Leveluk Junior II- $2,380
- Anespa- $2,390
- Leveluk DX- $2,980
- Leveluk DX2- $3,280
- SD 501- Price, $3,980 (their most popular product)
- The Super SD 501- Costs $5,980
Is it really worth the $4K price tag?
Enagic claiming their machines make the water -200 to -400 ORP which stands for Oxidation Reduction Potential.
Usually, water with lower ORP is considered higher quality because it causes less rust on metals and deterioration of other materials.
Tap water has +500 ORP, Bottle Water has +200 ORP, Spring Water has +150
Its important to remember though that its not all about the ORP ratings, as other factors can increase the quality of water also such as mineral/vitamin content & more.
There’s still no clear scientific studies that show that alkaline water is the way to go or if its actually healthy for you to drink on a regular basis.
Some have made the claims that it has led to weight loss and even reversed cancer, diabetes & others diseases but if you do your research you’ll also find others claim that Kangen water did nothing for them.
Overall, I believe its a solid water filtration unit, and with the masses becoming more health conscious, it’s not surprising to see the recent rise in popularity for Kangen filters that potentially has other health benefits.
This also makes their business opportunity more attractive, but how viable is it to become their distributor?
Compensation Plan: How to Make Money with Kangen
So to get started with becoming a Kangen distributor and earn commission for direct selling their products.
You have to first purchase the $4000 unit which will be used to promote to others.
Every 2 systems you sell, you earn $285 and when you recruit 8 other distributors to join your team, your profit margins increase.
To maximize on your profits, you must reach the leadership position attained after recruiting 34 additional people to the business.
You will then earn on multiple tiers, hence why Enagic is a mlm or multi-level marketing company. So you earn bonuses on the sales made by your recruits as well as their recruits and it goes down several levels depending on the sales volume of each level.
What does it mean?
You’re rewarded most in this company if you have the ability to continually recruit more distributors and then coach them to become great distributors themselves.
- There is a trend for water purification and people are becoming more conscious of the fact that not all waters were created equal
- Google.com/trend shows steady increase in popularity of the search term “enagic” over the years from 2013
- Higher ticket sale means higher commission for each sale
- The opportunity to work with other great people (must find a good leader)
- generous compensation model
- pretty expensive price tag compared to other water filters on the market that can produce the same ORP ratings
- you’ll be told to make a list of your contacts, meaning you’re urged to sell to friends & family. This might be uncomfortable or worse it can lead to ruined relationships
- eventually, every distributor runs out of warm contacts, so you need to develop skills to sell water filters to strangers
- lack of reliable, automated lead generation system for most distributors
- 98% failure rate for distributors to make a legit income that can support a family
Questions You Want to Ask Yourself
- Is this filter really worth the $4000 price tag? Will others see its worth?
- Is there a big enough market out there for high-end water filters for me to succeed?
- Am I someone that’s good at sales or comfortable with talking to strangers on a regular basis about water filters or a business opportunity? & possibly open to doing door to door sales?
In general when Kangan filters are compared to its competition, its a bit overpriced.
However, that’s not the main reason people fail with Enagic (or other network marketing opportunities), its because they jump into it without having any skills.
To become a successful entrepreneur, your success is determined by your level of skills just like an athlete.
The 2 biggest skills being: online marketing and/or direct sales.
It’s like jumping into a ring with a trained boxer, just because you read about boxing, yet you’ve never punched a heavy bag in your life.
Then you have all these distributor complaints that pop up but that doesn’t mean Enagic is a scam, just simply means that most distributors were misguided into thinking that this was some get rich quick scheme or that it was gonna be easy.
Can you really blame your leader for selling in this way? When their livliehood depends on being able to recruit new distributors? Would it be wise to say how difficult this business opportunity actually is?
The unfortunate thing is that the system of network marketing fosters these kinds of behaviors since the marketing is left in the hands of recruits, the difficulty of this business model commonly gets grossly & disproportionately underestimated.
If you’re brand new to all of this and have no business background then all you can do is to talk to your friends & family about it, you might make a few bucks here and there, possibly get some sympathy purchases but that’s nowhere close to earning anything substantial to live off of.
The successful testimonials you see of other Kangan distributors, all have certain skill sets that they brought to the table that’s at the root of their success that they aren’t necessarily telling you or their recruits even though they themselves know its what drives their success.
Such as having the skill to rank a website in Google for the keyword “Kangan Reviews” like I’ve done with this site or making awesome content on youtube, or willing to get uncomfortable and do direct selling to strangers.
Yes everyone that succeed with network marketing are all very skilled in either online marketing or sales.
Either they had some base of skills beforehand or they developed it after joining because they were determined to do whatever it takes.
These are pretty high-level skillsets that take some time to develop & master.
But ultimately you have to invest in your skills first if you wanna live a life of freedom & abundance.
Because your skills is what determines how much value you’re able to bring to the marketplace.
When I was 21 I joined multiple network marketing companies like Enagic, and failed them all, each time losing quite a bit of money.
It wasn’t until I was 24, when I invested in this course that taught me the skill of local lead generation did things really begin to change.
Developing a skill that’s in very high demand today and a skill that not too many people have, was the key.
So many small businesses out there desperately needs an online lead generation expert.
Once I took the leap, & invested in learning this skill, 6 months later I was able to walk away from my 9 to 5 job and become completely self-employed.
Now I make multiple 6 figures online and wake up excited to work because now there is no ceiling for my earning potential, in fact, each day I work I am increasing my income.
If you want freedom, invest in your skills, not into another hype or fad.
