Tyson Zahner makes his money promoting marketing courses for network marketers. He’s had several courses in the past, his latest one being his course on teaching people how to use the internet to generate leads for their home-based network marketing business.
In this review I go over what I learned from it, the pros & cons of Tyson’s methods.
Which leads me to describe why I ultimately quit network marketing, and found my first success with doing lead generation for small businesses. A business model that has taken me from broke making $35K per year to now making more than that in 1 month, best of all on auto-pilot, passive income. Peep here for this coaching program.
Tyson’s Course Overview
What he recommends is to begin recording your story in video format with your smart phone and uploading it to Youtube and Facebook, because stories sell.
If you’re not comfortable making videos, then what he teaches is how to make compelling posts on Facebook that attract people’s attention and get them to ask more about your product or offer.
Talking to someone that’s inquiring about what you have to say is much easier than talking to someone cold.
The Problem with Tyson’s Lead Generation Strategies for Network Marketing
Tyson claims that his strategies will work for any home based business but its clear to me that given his heavy background in network marketing that his course is intended for those that are in Network Marketing.
He puts heavy emphasis on the fact that his methods are EASY to follow.
That anyone can duplicate it.
You don’t have to learn anything technical or spend money getting email auto-responders or other tools or software.
He reiterates again and again that its easy, cheap & quick to do.
The problem with anything that is easy and cheap is that everyone will be doing it and pretty soon the same tactics will not work as well as it did previously, so you actually end up working a lot harder to achieve lesser results.
But the reason why he has to make his methods so easy is because in network marketing, you have to be able to pass down your methods of marketing to your downline, something that anyone can follow.
So often times the leaders in network marketing can only share with you some of the most basic online marketing strategies out there like making a Facebook post, or uploading videos on youtube, or even posting on Craigslist.
Tyson’s methods may provide some results for network marketers, but even his strategy of posting things on your Facebook newsfeed seem very limited to me because pretty soon you’ll run out of your audience.
Posting videos on youtube seems more promising but unless you dedicate yourself to being able to post many videos over a long period you can’t quite generate enough traction with youtube either. And most people that join a MLM don’t have any expertise that they can continuously talk about.
In my opinion, the biggest reason people struggle with MLM is because people aren’t willing to put in the time & money it takes to develop high-level skills.
People are always trying to find the easiest or the cheapest methods to market their business.
This is why 98% of the people fail.
When it comes to building a longterm sustainable business, easy is overrated.
My thing is this, I’m willing to pay more money to get the best method to make money from home right now in the best way possible.
No big risks, no big reward.
I’m at where I’m at today, which is $50K per month on auto-pilot with my lead gen sites because I took bigger risks than what most people are willing to take.
For me that big risk, was investing money into a mentor or coaching program.
If you want to get paid more for your time, then you must first develop skills that most everyone doesn’t have.
A great mentor will impart on you these skills.
For me, this meant leaving behind network marketing altogether and join this coaching program that taught me how to make money by generating leads for small businesses using free organic traffic by learning high-level SEO skills that allow me to rank my sites in Google.
